She/Her. Diana Contreras is a Mexican/Canadian visual artist. Her work is influenced by observations of daily life, heritage and symbology, all blended together into a visual narrative version of storytelling. She was part of the artist showcase of "Awakenings" 2023 with her "Pride Calavera" exhibit in Colborne Lodge. She also participated in "Migrant Stories" at St Lawrence Market Gallery as one of the storytellers in the project. She works with acrylic, oils, mixed media and textures on canvas or wood panel.
"My work can be classified as contemporary realism, I cover landscape, abstract and portrait painting. My continuous journey of creative discovery leads me to pursuit all kinds of artistic expression."
